My Husband's Cool New Gig - 1/19/07

So... John just got the coolest gig ever. He just got hired to play for Gary Allan. I'm so excited and proud of him. Gary Allan is a true artist. I've loved his music from the very first single "Her Man" a long time ago. I actually keep saying to John "I can't believe you're Gary Allan's keyboard player." In reality, I really can because John is one of the best musicians I know and I'm not just saying that because I'm his wife. I begged John for months to quit Will Hoge to play for me WAY before I was in love with him. He just brings such a cool vibe and personality to any situation he's in. Gary is lucky to have him.

We had a rockin' good time last night at Douglas Corner. My band is soooo good that I hate when the show is over. I was so sick and had a really hard time singing last night but I just rocked out and had a blast. I feel very fortunate to have so many great musicians on stage with me. That's what it's all about. They're the biggest reason we artists sound so good. I love them and wouldn't trade a single one. I finally feel like I have the band that I was meant to have.

By the way... a little birdie says a record deal is around the corner so keep your fingers crossed and your prayers flying to the sky.
