Holly Dunn - Leave One Bridge Standing

Purchase The Album

Holly Dunn got a new recording deal with River North Nashville and has since then recorded one of her best albums titled "Getting It Dunn". After some time off from the studio Holly has released her eighth album and it is nothing less than her career record.

Polished country tunes are what you will hear when putting this CD in your stereo. Dunn manages to keep these "manufactured" style songs interesting with her voice which can tell you about a night on the town or a heartache with equal authority. Holly has become a seasoned veteran in the studio and it shows with this sleek production.

In a music genre that seems to always be changing many of these older artists, who had most of their hits in the early 90's get left behind while the new artists receive all the support. "Leave One Bridge Standing" is a testament to the fact that these artists still have the fire to release hits.

Watch out for tracks like "Whatshisname", a comical look at a forgotten love and "That Never Stopped Me", a fun tune about taking risks on a radio near you as singles. Some of the best material on the album comes when Holly slows it down with songs like "Talking Goodbye" and "The Wonder Of Love", both powerful ballads.

With "One Bridge Standing" Holly Dunn successfully re-establishes herself as one of the top female country artists. If I were you, I would watch out for Holly on the charts!

The WOC Rating Scale

The album stands above the rest. This is a record that every country music fan needs to have in their collection.

This album is better than the average release. A strong record with some flaws that keep it from reaching that 5 star level.

This album is an average country release. Doesn't posses qualities that make it stand out among all the other albums out there.

A weak record that lacks solid songs or good vocal performances. Sample before you buy.

This record is a bargin-bin reject that just isn't worth the time or the money. Completely misses the mark.
