Purchase The Album
Lee Ann Womack has done no less than take the country music world by storm. Her unique and classic sounding "Never Again, Again" received raves from fans and artists alike. Womack's deep Texas roots and a strong love for the classic country music she grew up on bring us a refreshing sound on her self-titled debut album.
With influences like Bob Wills and Ray Price it is no suprise that Lee Ann Womack sports a fairly traditional sound. On the album, Lee Ann takes it upon herself to let her Dolly Parton like twang bring songs to life. There isn't a better song out right now than "The Fool", a classic country love song. Don't think Womack can't kick it up though. "A Man With 18 Wheels" and "Buckaroo" are great up-paced songs and just plain fun to listen to.
When a artist impresses Alan Jackson to the point of buying over twenty copies of their album, something is being done right. Well, lets just clear that part up. LeAnn does just about everything right with this album. Artists sitting on top of the charts had better watch out, Lee Ann Womack is on her way.

The album stands above the rest. This is a record that every country music fan needs to have in their collection. This album is better than the average release. A strong record with some flaws that keep it from reaching that 5 star level. This album is an average country release. Doesn't posses qualities that make it stand out among all the other albums out there. A weak record that lacks solid songs or good vocal performances. Sample before you buy. This record is a bargin-bin reject that just isn't worth the time or the money. Completely misses the mark. |
