Purchase The Album

Martina McBride is one of the most unique artists in country music today. She takes the best of the music and combines it all into a distinct sound. Judging by the success of Martina's last album "Wild Angels", people like the sound. One thing is for sure though, when a Martina McBride song comes on the radio, there is no doubt it's her, and there is no way you can't listen.

Martina's newest studio effort, "Evolution" proves to be a even more powerful display of her musical talents than anything she has previously recorded. The singles are far from slouches, "Valentine", "Still Holdin' On" (with Clint Black), and "A Broken Wing" have all been very successful. Frankly, any song on this album Martina wanted to release has the potential to be at the very least a top 10.

The up-paced rocker, "Happy Girl" is the biggest suprise on the album and is also one of the albums highest points. The classic Martina sound reigns true in songs like "Be That Way" and "Wrong Again". Every inch of the country music spectrum is covered with "Evolution".

With over 40 minutes of music, powerful songs and McBride's slick vocals I can't find a thing to complain about. Find it, and buy it, you won't be disappointed. I wasn't.

The WOC Rating Scale

The album stands above the rest. This is a record that every country music fan needs to have in their collection.

This album is better than the average release. A strong record with some flaws that keep it from reaching that 5 star level.

This album is an average country release. Doesn't posses qualities that make it stand out among all the other albums out there.

A weak record that lacks solid songs or good vocal performances. Sample before you buy.

This record is a bargin-bin reject that just isn't worth the time or the money. Completely misses the mark.
