Terri Clark - Just The Same

Purchase The Album

Just last year no one had heard of Terri Clark. Now she is a common name in country music conversations, is being nominated for female vocalist of the year awards and taking part in one of the biggest tours of the year. Just The Same gives us another look at the women who has shot to stardom, quicker than almost any other artist.

This, Terri's sophmore album continues the rocking style established with her first release but also shows the development of her music. Just The Same contains one thing we didn't hear much of from Clark last time, powerful ballads. While there are only three they are some of the best songs of Terri's short career and display the power of her voice.

Now lets get to the part fans of Clark know and love, the rockers. There are alot of them, eight to be exact. "Poor, Poor Pitiful Me" a cover of a Linda Ronstadt hit is done exceptionally well. Then you have songs like "Emotional Girl" and "Twang Thang" where fun matters more than anything.

Very rarley is there a artist that releases two albums as impressive as Terri's. Just The Same is a look ahead into the future, which could very well be filled with Terri Clark hits. There is alot to like about this album, it has my highest recommedation.

The WOC Rating Scale

The album stands above the rest. This is a record that every country music fan needs to have in their collection.

This album is better than the average release. A strong record with some flaws that keep it from reaching that 5 star level.

This album is an average country release. Doesn't posses qualities that make it stand out among all the other albums out there.

A weak record that lacks solid songs or good vocal performances. Sample before you buy.

This record is a bargin-bin reject that just isn't worth the time or the money. Completely misses the mark.
