Trisha Yearwood has never been one to fear change. Over the course of her career her look has changed a few times but one thing that never did was her style. All songs she sang were modeled after her first hit "She's In Love With The Boy" in some way. With the release of "Everybody Knows" we see not only another look change but change musically as well.

"Believe Me Baby (I Lied)," got the album of to a smashing start. The fast paced single went number one by the time it was finished. The title track followed and gather similar success. The most shocking thing about this is the albums content is mostly ballads and neither of the first two songs were of that style. One of the best tracks on the album has become the third single. It is a emotional ballad about a relationship that has changed over time titled "I Need You".

That would have to be considered a very successful set of singles. The rest of the album contains just as high quality writing, vocals and instrumentals. The biggest shock to me when putting this disc into the stereo was the large amount of slow songs, eight to be exact. Trisha has always been known for her rocking singles, so this is quite a change.

The change makes this album though. Never before have we seen such a emotional Yearwood. She nails home every song with powerful vocals and deep feeling. If this disc is sign of things to come I would have to say that Trisha has just begun.

Trisha Yearwood has been one of country's top female vocalists for years now and everybody knows, an album can't get much better than this!

The WOC Rating Scale

The album stands above the rest. This is a record that every country music fan needs to have in their collection.

This album is better than the average release. A strong record with some flaws that keep it from reaching that 5 star level.

This album is an average country release. Doesn't posses qualities that make it stand out among all the other albums out there.

A weak record that lacks solid songs or good vocal performances. Sample before you buy.

This record is a bargin-bin reject that just isn't worth the time or the money. Completely misses the mark.
