1997 has been a year of the band, and to some degree a year of the vocal duo. With so many new duos out there like Regina Regina and Bekka & Billy the competition for Brooks & Dunn has become fierce. John And Audrey Wiggins are ready for round two with a second Mercury album that could be better than anything we have seen out of a duo in a long time.

"Somewhere In Love", the debut single off the album sets the tone for the music to follow. The songs blend John and Audrey's vocals together into a soothing sound. This "blood" harmony (family members are known to sing the best harmonies) make for the sleekest sounding duo album since the work of The Judds.

John And Audrey know how to push each others vocal abilities to the limits. Songs like "Little Bitty Pieces" shows John pushing Audrey to a new level in the chorus. Yet it doesn't stop there, songs like "If A Train Left Memphis" gain from Audrey pushing John to sing his best. This is a dangerous combination.

All spectrums of country music are covered in "The Dream". From heart wrenching ballads like "Once You've Loved Somebody" to up-paced rockers like "Party Down" this brother/sister duo covers it all.

If there is one duo that will push Brooks & Dunn this year, you're looking at it. John & Audrey Wiggins where shined off by radio with their first release. They are just to good this time around to be denied by anybody. This one is going to make a splash!

The WOC Rating Scale

The album stands above the rest. This is a record that every country music fan needs to have in their collection.

This album is better than the average release. A strong record with some flaws that keep it from reaching that 5 star level.

This album is an average country release. Doesn't posses qualities that make it stand out among all the other albums out there.

A weak record that lacks solid songs or good vocal performances. Sample before you buy.

This record is a bargin-bin reject that just isn't worth the time or the money. Completely misses the mark.
