Celeste Krenz - Hello Country

Purchase The Album

We are seeing more and more remake albums hit the market than ever before. Reba McEntire started the trend with her 1995 release "Starting Over," and LeAnn Rimes followed up with 2 albums containing little new material. Now Celeste Krenz has a very unique cover album on her hands. Hello Country contains 13 country classics remade in classic country style.

Many of you probably are not aware of Celeste or her music, but after just a few minutes you will be hooked on her simple, yet powerful vocals. Rock solid remakes are all you'll find here. It can be a daunting task to re-record material from country greats like Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, and Bob Wills but Celeste does it with ease.

You'll find songs like "Crazy," and "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels," on this album. What impressed me the most was how Krenz didn't feel the need to make all these songs sound modern. Every track sounds classic.

With her third album Celeste Krenz took a risk and it paid off big. Making a cover album can not only be a daunting task, but a dangerous career move. This album should earn her fans who are hunting for any remains of the classic country sound. If you want a strong collection of classic country hits, look no farther.

The WOC Rating Scale

The album stands above the rest. This is a record that every country music fan needs to have in their collection.

This album is better than the average release. A strong record with some flaws that keep it from reaching that 5 star level.

This album is an average country release. Doesn't posses qualities that make it stand out among all the other albums out there.

A weak record that lacks solid songs or good vocal performances. Sample before you buy.

This record is a bargin-bin reject that just isn't worth the time or the money. Completely misses the mark.
