Jill Morris - Just One Kiss
Marlboro Country Music

German country singer Jill Morris made the trip from her home to Nashville to record Just One Kiss. The result is a collection of songs that probably won't take your breath away, but they show potential.

When I got the album I threw it into my stereo and was instantly impressed with the first few tracks. "Shot Full Of Love," the albums opener is a catchy tune. The fast paced "Runaway Love," has potential to be a commercial success if it could find its way onto the radio.

The albums next track sounds like an imitation of a Celine Dion song, let's just say it doesn't work. "Don't Say A Word," comes off as nothing more than an irritating ballad. "Lovey Dovey," will have you laughing but the annoying chorus grates after a listen or two.

As quickly as the album started to fall apart it rebounds with songs like "Just One Kiss," a fun light hearted song about falling in love. "I'll Never Say Never Again," is a powerful ballad about a woman who tries to walk away from love, but can't.

Jill Morris is an artist who has potential to put together top notch albums. The only thing missing is her song selection. With a few more solid songs and less filler this album could have easily earned at leasy another star. I look forward to seeing what Morris turns out in her next effort.

This album is an average country release. Doesn't posses qualities that make it stand out among all the other albums out there.

A weak record that lacks solid songs or good vocal performances. Sample before you buy.

This record is a bargin-bin reject that just isn't worth the time or the money. Completely misses the mark.
