Purchase The Album

I've been listening to this album for a long time. I had been listening to it for over a month before it even released. I've found that it's easy in the rush of running a web site to run through a review and then when you go back and listen to the album again you scratch your head and wonder how in the hell you gave that album a four star review (example: Lorrie Morgan My Heart, let's try 2 stars). But don't worry, I'm not letting that happen anymore. I'm going to spend as much time with each new release as I can before I sit down to write about it. Due to the large amount of time I've got to spend with this release I can safely say this is one of the best debut releases I've heard in years. Chalee Tennison is good, damn good.

The power of Chalee Tennison's ballads is matched only by the likes of Reba McEntire. "Someone Else's Turn To Cry," "Just Because She Lives There," and "I Can Feel You Drifting," are some of the most painful, beautiful ballads to hit country music in a long, long time. Country music needs songs like this more often. Instead of these sappy pop ballads that have no lasting impact.

Chalee can also rock up her country turning out songs that remind me of a female Tim McGraw. "A Stolen Car," really feels like something you might find on a McGraw album and just like his music the song is so addictive you can't stop playing it. "Sometime," follows the same formula and is just as successful.

After the last song in this eleven track collection finished playing you find yourself begging for more. Asylum Records, please get this woman back in the studio. An incredible debut effort, don't get left in the dark. Buy this record right now!

The WOC Rating Scale

The album stands above the rest. This is a record that every country music fan needs to have in their collection.

This album is better than the average release. A strong record with some flaws that keep it from reaching that 5 star level.

This album is an average country release. Doesn't posses qualities that make it stand out among all the other albums out there.

A weak record that lacks solid songs or good vocal performances. Sample before you buy.

This record is a bargin-bin reject that just isn't worth the time or the money. Completely misses the mark.
