Purchase The Album

Reviewing a live record is always a challenge. From one viewpoint you're looking at the vocal performance and from the other you're looking to see if there is enough content on the disc to justify a purchase for someone who already owns the artists music.

Lynn Anderson's new live album is the most recent in a series of albums recorded at Billy Bob's in Texas. It is a solid performance that features a good variety of her own tunes and cover performances.

Big hit singles are here like "Listen To The Country Song", "Rocky Top", "Rose Garden", "Top Of The World" and many more. There are also a number of cover tunes that are performed quite well.

Lynn Anderson has an excellent voice and it still sounds just as good today as it did when she started singing. She seems comfortable on this record and delivers a solid performance. Something that you'd want to go see. It's always nice to hear someone singing pure country music.

If you're a long time Lynn Anderson fan you might want to add this to your collection. You probably already own a number of these songs but live versions are always a nice addition to a music collection. If you're new to Lynn Anderson's music this will serve as a good introduction.

The WOC Rating Scale

The album stands above the rest. This is a record that every country music fan needs to have in their collection.

This album is better than the average release. A strong record with some flaws that keep it from reaching that 5 star level.

This album is an average country release. Doesn't posses qualities that make it stand out among all the other albums out there.

A weak record that lacks solid songs or good vocal performances. Sample before you buy.

This record is a bargin-bin reject that just isn't worth the time or the money. Completely misses the mark.
