Purchase The Album

Nashville certainly knows how to make duplicates of successful acts. It's one of the few things they've become really good at. The Dixie Chicks have sold an insane amount of albums and have cleaned up at the awards shows. SHeDAISY has also enjoyed great success. Come to think of it teen artists have done well. Why not combine the two? That'll sell a ton of records.

Well it won't.

It only took one listen of "6, 8, 12" to know we had problems. I don't know why someone at the record label didn't step in and stop this disaster from happening. The chorus is just unbearable. You'll find yourself reaching for the skip button before the song even reaches its halfway point. Sadly, that's the reaction most of the album receives. If you've heard one of these songs, you've heard them all.

There are a couple of worthwhile tracks here. "Love Is Enough" shows that when given some decent material to work with this trio has some potential. Their harmonies can be unique and effective. "You Break Me" has a cool groove and would make a good single.

3 of Hearts lack the energy and daring of the Dixie Chicks. Natalie Maines could sing any of these three girls under the table. SHeDAISY makes 3 of Hearts harmonies look laughable. Both the Dixie Chicks and SHeDAISY pick better songs. In short 3 of Hearts doesn't do anything better than their competition.

If you're looking for an album of sugary pop music that you'll listen to maybe once (if you're extremely patient) then by all means pick up a copy of 3 of Hearts debut. If you don't fall into that category do yourself a favor and pick up a Dixie Chicks or SHeDAISY disc instead. The members of 3 of Hearts just aren't ready for prime time.

The WOC Rating Scale

The album stands above the rest. This is a record that every country music fan needs to have in their collection.

This album is better than the average release. A strong record with some flaws that keep it from reaching that 5 star level.

This album is an average country release. Doesn't posses qualities that make it stand out among all the other albums out there.

A weak record that lacks solid songs or good vocal performances. Sample before you buy.

This record is a bargin-bin reject that just isn't worth the time or the money. Completely misses the mark.
